announcement: price hike - usgs & blm topographic map products

Back in March 2009, the US Geological Survey raised the price on their topographic products – the 1:24,000 and 1:100,000 topographic quadrangles – to $8.00 and $9.00, respectively.   At the time, Kevin Gallagher, Associate Director of the Geospatial Information Office, said, “The USGS takes this action reluctantly”.

We commiserate, but we now have to follow suit.   Beginning on 2 January 2010, we are raising our map prices from $6.85 to $8.00 for 1:24,000-scale topographic quadrangles, and from $7.00 to $9.00 for 1:100,000 topographic maps and BLM Surface Management maps.

Of course, we’ll still carry all 1935 topographic quadrangles for Arizona, as well the entire 1:100,000 USGS and BLM topographic map suite.   The Good News:  We are holding the line on prices for all other USGS serials in stock:  Geologic Quadrangles, I-Map Series, and Bulletins and Circulars among other USGS publications.

Stop by or order by phone, fax, or e-mail the topographic map or USGS geologic product of your choice.
